SmartPOSTerms of Use
These terms cover the SmartPOS Android app, its cloud features, and shop pages published at smartpos.space.
1. Using SmartPOS
SmartPOS is provided for running a business. You may use it free of charge, with ads, or with an optional paid subscription. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must follow the laws that apply to your business.
2. Your data is yours
Your products, sales, customers and records belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. We access them only as needed to provide the service you have switched on — for example, storing them so your own devices can sync.
3. You are responsible for your shop
You are responsible for the accuracy of your prices, stock, invoices and tax handling, and for the customer information you record. SmartPOS is a tool; it does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice. Check your own figures before relying on them.
4. Your public shop page
If you publish a product page you are responsible for what appears on it. Do not publish anything unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not advertise goods you are not permitted to sell. We may suspend a shop page that breaches these terms or the law, without notice where the issue is serious.
Prices shown on a shop page are set by the shop. We are not a party to any sale between a shop and its customers, do not process payments between them, and are not responsible for orders, delivery, refunds or disputes.
5. Staff and devices
If you invite staff, you decide what each person may do and you are responsible for who you approve. Remove access promptly when someone leaves.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service; do not reverse engineer it except where the law permits; do not use it to send spam or to store data you have no right to hold; and do not use automated means to create accounts, farm rewarded-ad credits, or exceed the limits of the free tier. We may apply reasonable limits to keep the service running for everyone.
7. Free tier, credits and subscriptions
Free use includes ads and fair-use limits on cloud features. Rewarded-video credits are optional and have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may expire.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel them in your Google Play account; cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the paid period ends. Refunds follow Google Play's policy. Prices may change with notice.
8. Availability
Core selling is designed to work offline on your device. Cloud features depend on the internet and on third-party providers, and may be unavailable, interrupted or changed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may modify or discontinue features.
9. Backups
Backing up is your responsibility. Google Drive backup is provided as a convenience and goes to your own Google account. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not liable for lost data.
10. No warranty
SmartPOS is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or that it will meet your particular needs.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of SmartPOS. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Ending your use
You may stop using SmartPOS at any time and delete your data from within the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached in a way that harms other users or the service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here and noted in the app. Continuing to use SmartPOS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
