Does SmartPOS work without internet?
Yes. Selling, stock, customers, expenses and reports all work on the phone with no connection. Features that involve other people or other devices — your online product page, multi-device sync, staff accounts and cloud backup — need internet, and catch up when you reconnect.
Do my customers need to install anything?
No. Anyone can open your shop link in a normal browser and look through your products and prices. To place an order or message you they'll be taken into the SmartPOS app, so the order arrives directly at your till.
Do I need my own website or hosting?
No. SmartPOS provides the page and the link. There is nothing to build, register or pay for.
What does it cost?
SmartPOS is free to use and shows ads. There is an optional ad-free subscription, and some cloud features can be unlocked with credits you earn by watching a short video. Current prices are shown in the app, since they vary by region.
Can my staff use it too?
Yes. Staff request to join your shop and you approve them, then you choose exactly what each person is allowed to do. Sales and cash are tracked per person.
Is my data backed up?
You can back up to your own Google Drive and restore onto a new phone. The backup lives in your Google account, not ours — staff never get access to it.
